Actually, a year and a half ago, when I was looking to buy mine, I saw a 90 with 13K. It was down in South Carolina and they wanted $9500 for it. In my opinion, that was just waaay too much. Even with that low mileage ya still have to think of all the rubber bushings being dry rotted, and other things just sitting there about to seize up from no movement. Too bad you didn't have a 93 with that many miles, it would be worth alot more b/c it's the most reliable 1st gen LS. How much are you asking for it anyway?

Why don't ya keep it? They're awesome cars and last forever if you take care of it. You got it free, put a grand worth of parts and fluids into it and you'll be golden for years to come. That's what I would do, unless this bad economy has hit ya hard and ya need cash. (like so many of us do)

Driving to Las Vegas?
I'd be interested if the car were on the West Coast. Coming this way?
FYI, our local paper has a 91 with 81,000 miles listed for $6000. I was going to look but first talked selling price expectations with the seller. I pointed out that Kelly Blue Book puts it in the mid to high $4k range for private party value, and that NADA supports (somewhat vaguely) that sort of range. They were firm with $6K, so I passed. I have a year or so to grab one for my teenage daughter. We laughed at her when she asked us to retain our 91 for her (I think she was 8 when we sold it), and never envisioned such a fine auto for a new driver. Aside from evolutions in airbags, I'm not sure that we could find a more reliable and safe "combat vehicle" for Las Vegas roadways, perhaps in the $4k range. So as I actually consider one, I guess the kid has the last laugh! Due to cheaper repair costs, especially body items, she may end up with a grandpa-style Buick or whatever I consider disposable but safe. But something decent of that nature seems to be in the $3000+ range, so it's hard to overlook an early LS 400. This girl is responsible, conservative and mature beyond her years. And skills/decision making look pretty good on the local indoor cart track. So I think we have pretty good odds for vehicle care and survival. Am I insane for pondering one for a juvenile?
