how to get cup holders in front to come out of the armrest.
I told my wife not to put the cup holder back inside the armrest as I was having trouble getting it to come out. Guess what she did the very next time she drove my car. I have fiddled with it a dozen times and can't get the cupholder to come out. Any suggestions? thanks

Inside the center console you need to take off the trim peice for the box, remove 4 screws for the console box. There's 2 screws on top in the front for the cup holder. Also you need to take off the trim peice around the shifter ****, there's 2 screws under that.

Also make sure the shifter trim is as far forward as possible. If its not, the cup holders will just barely hit it on the way out and stay there.
I had your problem when i bought my ls, removed the cup holder, washed it in warm soapy water, re greased the gears and spring lightly, and moved the trim forward.
Been flawless since. (slightly slow in winter due to the grease being cold) but it works every single time.
