Default Need serious help

Hi guys, I have a '92 LS 400. A while ago the fuel indicator stopped working (the needle doesn't move) but that wasn't a problem because I would use the miles driven to know when to get gas. Well now the console lights are gone, so I can't see miles driven or speed. My not so "mechanic" boyfriend is ready to start pulling things apart but before he does I thought I'd check here to see if anyone can direct/suggest what it is. I will give him some credit...he has checked the fuses.

Thanks.
