Default The squeak and blink

93 LS question here. Sometimes when im driving there would be a squeaking electronic noise coming from the right side of the interior. The sound goes along with a blinking light behind the R or D icons in the middle of the instrument cluster. (scratches dome) anyone ever see this? There is nothing that i can tell is wrong with the car (bout to change out brake pads/ maybe it was an indication)

Play with the dimmer switch. Does the sound vary with the position of the dimmer?

Default switch right above the gas pedal

there was a switch above the gas pedal that was turned all the way counter clockwise. when i turned it clockwise all the way until it snapped i figured that was it because i havent heard it since. weird, my manual has nothing on this switch i wonder what it is.
