Exclamation 94 LS 400 Woes...need your help.

It all started a couple of weeks back, the 'check engine' light and 'traction off' will come on when I start the car in the morning.
At times the idle will be very rough for about a few minutes, then normalize. The car died(shuts off) twice on me during this fiasco.
All this has stopped until yesterday, the LS now shakes and vibrates when I step on the accelerator and it idles like a motor bike when parked. The RPM does not go up or down and it's not loud either just a very rough idling.
I'm hoping you guys can help me on this before I take it to the mechanic, maybe it's something I can fix myself with a little to no help.

Thanks a lot.

check for codes. Get a paper clip and short pins TE1 and E1 and count the flashes.

I have a similar problem. Mine seems to only happen after i use the emergency brake. My 96 LS400 runs horrible but seems to work itself out after the car sits for a few hours. No Codes! Dealer said it was fuel pump relay, which i replaced and it didn't solve the problem. Then i was told it was the fuel pump, which i replaced and i still have the problem but only after i use the E-brake.

There has to be someone who has had similar issues on this site and has an answer as to what the issue is!

I've changed the spark plugs and wires and it helped drastically.I still get the check engine light and slight hesitation in the idle every now and then and also when the car is moving.
I'm going to clean the throttle body, put in new air filter and report back.
The code I got from the paper clip was '3141'.Hope somebody can offer more help.

If the plugs and wires were bad it's likely the caps and rotors need to be changed also

No cleaning involves. You gotta take voltage readings to see if it operating properly and see if its a wiring integrity issue or the component itself.
