Default Parking brake light comes on under braking

Sometimes under heavy braking , or braking downhill my parking brake light comes on. Is this just a loose cable?

Seconded. Your fluid level is low.

95 LS here with the exact same issue. What happens if your fluid is not low and the light comes on under hard braking? Fluid looks a bit dark and may be dirty.

flush the fluid and in the process check the sensor, might be jammed/stuck/dead.
