Need Help Bad!!!
hey everybody,
I recently was given a 1990 ls400 by my mother. I loved the car when she had it. My friends and I are going to turn it into the ultimate pimp car. The problem is... the car doesn't run. When we turn the key, the starter spins but no fuel is being consumed. We tested the fuel pump and it turned out positive. This leads me to think that it needs a new computer. Am I wrong, has this ever happened to anyone else ? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

First thing I would do is pull all the computer codes since so many things on these cars are electronic. How did you test the fuel pump? If it is providing enough flow and the pressure near the fuel rail is within specs maybe there might be something wrong with the injector system? I'd disconnect a spark plug and pull the corresponding injector and visually verify its working. Have you checked the ignition timing?
