1996 ls400 light question
Just got a 1996 LS400, had it about a month. I notice that there is a problem with one of the lights on the front of the car.
on the front, from center to outside, there is one assembly that has headlights and fog lights built into one, right next to it is a clear light maybe a marker light, in an assembly by itself, I guess you could say on the corner. same elevation as the headlight.
Anyway, the screw in connector that holds this clear light on the front corner to the car is broken, so the light assembly is a little loose. (not the headlight/fog light, rather the one right next to it)
1. how do I remove this light fixture? it appears to be attached somehow to the outside corner of the car. I can see a clip that holds it to the headlight/fog light, but can't figure out how to get to the outside connections to remove it.
2. how much $$ for a replacment fixture?
3. any pointers to where I can find one of these units online?
Thank you in advance!

Replacement lights for our cars are $$, if you can fix them with epoxy and a plastic retainer, you'll not have any problems...so long as the assembly is not trashed.
The screw to remove the marker light is circled in red. Once the screw is out, pry the light assembly from the front out about 1/4"-3/8" only, then pull directly forward. The Toyota God help you if you pry it way out and break the other two retaining tabs...then you will have to find another or fab up some pins. If you have to buy another, check the local dismantlers and such. I dunno what you'll pay but figure ballpark is about $100.

Grizzly, you just have to wiggle it out. Wrap a flat head screwdriver in a towel and pry it out by wedging it between the fender and the light. Might take some time but it will eventually pop out.

exactly right, that screw, marked in the red circle is what is broken, well, the plastic that connects the screw to the light is broken.
there is a clip on the inside edge that ties it to the headlight, however, this won't catch for some reason, its not broken that I can tell. I wanted to try and remove the light assembly and then inspect it and maybe try to fix it. worst case, replace it.
thanks for the instructions to remove the light fixture. is there enough slack in the electrical to pull this light out as you describe? (with the flat screw driver and towel)
again, thank you for the help!

well, thank you all for the help! turns out the tabs on the outside of the light were broken, along with the screw mount. the only thing really holding the light in was the clip that connects to the headlight. that wasn't really holding much either.
so, with the link provided, I ordered a replacment fixture. local reclamation shops here don't have much by way of lexus parts.
thank you all for the help, I am now on my way.
