2007 ES350 Rear Deck ML Tweeter Issues?
I just bought this car used as a third bay filler. It has the Ultra Luxury package with the Martin Levinson stereo upgrade.
I hear buzzing coming from the back rear deck. It almost sounds as if there's a piece of plastic rattling on the top of the speaker. If I try to isolate it (fade to back left, bass low) I swear it's the rear deck left tweeter (part 861600WE70). I really don't think it's an issue with the sub, though I could be dead wrong about that.
Anybody hear of this issue before? I've always heard about the sub issues, but never an issue with one of those rear deck tweeters.
Thanks

Have you had a chance to open up and inspect the deck? I've heard of blown subs and other problems with the ML system. If you can, get at the tweeter, disconnect the wiring harness and take an ohm meter to it. Also, check to see if it is physically damaged. Could be something simple like a mounting bracket working itself loose.

I got halfway there but lost my nerve when it came to removing the C pillar trim pieces. I just didn't think I could do it with out breaking something.

Took it to the dealership. It was a piece of plastic rattling around. $132 for the an hour of labor and I have a very nice sounding ML system again.
