iPod Error 2014 model
Hey,
So I have a 2014 is250 f sport and I was wondering....do any of you guys still get this error? Every time I have my USB cable in, about 15 minutes later I get the "iPod Error" message. Have any of you update your firmware? I went to the dealership and they said they would have to put in a claim for this (last year). This also happens whenever I use an aux cable with a usb cable...any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Upgrade your battery from stock 550 cold crank amps to 750 CCA. You will be glad you did. Did that a year ago. The ML sounded so much better, I swear you'd think I just updated my stereo. Over a year now and no ipod error message. The stock battery died twice parked.

Like I said before I believe the stock battery in 14 is 350 could not hold charge. It died twice parked. On restart the battery pulled more power out of the alternator that there wasn't enough to power the audio system hence the the ipod error issue. But as you drive more the battery recharges and the audio received more optimal power supply And less power interruption. I believe my stock battery was defective. I just upgraded to a higher output battery with higher reserve capacity. Now the alternator provides steady and optimal power to the audio. Not a single ipod issue over a year now. Others have said it is a get away ECU but I believe it's a battery issue . Granted I know of one IS owner will no issues. I don't think it's a wide spread issue.
