Intermittent Start
Been having some intermittent start issues with my 2007 is250.
Every third or fourth start the engine cranks with no start. Sometimes 3 tries to get it to fire.
Previous owner had the carbon build up issue resolved .
Vehicle has had all the schedule service done through the dealer and only has 53000 miles on it.
Any ideas on what this might be?

low battery voltage could be the issue. Is it the original battery that came with the car. With most cars, the battery provides starting power and once the car is started, it switches over to the alternator to provide power

I think Knick is saying you might need a new battery. Same thing happened to about 6 months ago. When I started the car, it wouldnt instantly turn on, sounded like it was struggling.
Seems my OEM battery was done for.
Picked up a new battery and the car started faster than ever.

No need to pull the battery to get it checked. Any Autozone or Advanced Auto Parts store should be able to test your battery in place (for free) and tell you if it is good.

I'm still on my original battery too (2007). Did you know that to get the exact OEM Panasonic battery from Japan is $1400? Anyhoo, mine failed to start on the first try about a year ago so I started doing some research.
Turns out our original batteries use distilled water in the cells. There are 6 star shaped plastic ***** on the battery that you should be able to twist open and unscrew by hand. if they look low, just fill them up with DISTILLED water, replace the caps and you're done.
I tested my battery before the winter of the year I refilled it, and it still had about 520 CCA left (I think original spec is 575 CCA). Haven't had another start issue since I filled it but I will check it before each winter now and expect I will have to change it either this year or next.
