I just dont have the time and place to do it myself. I live in a townhouse/condo without my own garage. I guess I could check out Walmart but I'm not a big fan of Walmart and stopped shopping there a few years ago.

I'll just have to go and ask the dealership how much they're charging first and then compare to independent shops. Normally I would go to an independent shop but I don't know of any good reputable one here in Houston. Anyone from Houston, Texas that can recommend a good place for Lexus cars?

As for the person who said to skip it, is it because in 60k service I could get the brake flush done along with the new brakes?
I called the dealer today. To do the entire 30k service, it is $610!!

To just do the oil change, engine/cabin filter, and brake flush, it came down to $318. Still steep. I will see when I drop the car off if they can get it under $300.

That's not too bad, as long as my dealer is within the $300-$350 I'm going to just go ahead and do it there. I like the peace of mind that they have all the equipment/knowledge to do the work on the 350.

engine and cabin filters do it yourself and cost $20 or less for parts. under 5 mins of your time. ask dealer how much they want to charge for oil and brake.

Right, I still want the dealer to do all the work, but $600+ is insane. They were pushing me to rotate the tires...I can do it myself or wait until 35k.

Only oil change and brake flush was around $260 I believe.

Ridiculous. I would never pay $260 just for that. If you can't do it yourself take it to an independent shop. $260 is grand larceny.
