Default 30,000 Mile Service for IS350

This morning I was quoted $597.00 for the 30,000 mile service. I feel like this is a little outrageous. Anyone have any feedback. Attached is the quote and what the service contains.

Wow, that is very expensive for mostly inspection items. I guess they are charging you labor at Lexus dealers rate. Anyhow, are you a DIY type of person? Or could follow some simple instructions? I recommend that you ask them to do the oil and brake fluid Only. Then just order the filter and change them yourself.

You're paying a premium to have it indicated on the records that you did the services. IMO i would just DIY or bring it to an independent mechanic for 1/3 of the price or less even...

All you need is oil change, brake fluid flush, and air and cabin filters.

I would just bring it to a local mechanic and they can do it for half the price. Its just not standard for them to record it on the lexus service site since they have tons of car makes and models coming in and out so it would be difficult just to even keep up with it. My cousin works at firestone and you can request that they do update your vehicle service records via lexus website. They will never offer it to you though. Smaller gas station garages would probably tell you NO though as they don't want to deal with it.

I have access to a full shop via my friends are avid race car drivers, so I do all the work my self and update my records my self. My service records are below via My Driver lexus site

You can add your own records from the ADD button when you don;t do the services at dealer.
