Suggestion for replacement tires.
Hey guys, its time for me to swap my tires. Wanted to get others opinions on what you think would be good for a smooth, quiet ride. I currently have good year eagle F1's but they seem to be discontinued. Someone help me out! size im running right now is 225/40zr18 and 255/40zr18.

After much research, I just bought Bridgestone RE760's. They exceed the OEM tires in quiet ride and handling (I think they look sportier as well). I got them for $780 out the door (and got a $100 Visa card because of a sale that was going on) at Discount Tire. I have 1,000 miles on them and LOVE them.
I was thinking of getting a harder tire with a mileage warranty, but was concerned I would get a noisy tire that would last for several years. I would hate to "ruin" my luxury car with noisy tires.
I also got a lifetime alignment from Firestone for $160. I only have 17k miles, but the car actually needed adjustment on 2 wheels.

Lots of threads already on tire choices. Be sure you search diligently before posting a new thread. With that said, I have run Michelin Pilot Super Sports and Hankook V12s. The Michelins are more expensive but have a longer tread life but the Hankooks are "stickier". Both are quiet tires, IMO. My vote is for the Hankooks. Nice tread pattern and a good looking sidewall, excellent grip in all road conditions that I've encountered and I got the rears for $340, which is about $160 less than I would have paid for the Michelins.

I just went from the Continental DSW to the new Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2 the other day on my 06 IS 250 AWD. So far I like them but I just got them installed yesterday. I'm hoping over time to see if they are better than the continental or not. They were 178 installed per tire, I was going to go with tire rack which was cheaper but the shop I went with had some good incentives so I opted to go with them instead.

I got over 33k miles on the Michelin A/S plus. I'd say they're a decent buy that performed well for an all season. I'd look at the Michelin A/S 3, it's the new replacement for the A/S plus.
I just got Bridgestone RE970's and they seem maybe a little quieter than my worn A/S plus's. Traction is improved as they are stickier. I might have gotten the A/S 3's but they weren't available.

+1 on the RE760's. Have about 3 thousand on them and have no issues. They are quiet and have great grip. I got them for 1000 OTD with 275/30/19 and 235/35. I would re-buy these in a heartbeat.
