^Depends on the overall health of your motor; if its not burning or going through oil routinely, then it can go for quite a while. The PCV on my IS350 that I swapped out at ~60k miles was perfectly fine and still operating fine. If the thing wasn't but $10 to replace, I would have reinstalled it and waited till further down the road! LOL

I just went to the dealer for an oil change at 30K miles and the service adviser told me that replacing the PCV valve is part of the 30K service.... Can anyone verify is this is true? after all ive read on this forum, im concluding that it isnt part of the 30k service. he told me also about the oil change, engine air filter change, cabin air filter change, and the PCV valve change which is going to cost me $120.... thanks in advance!

The PCV valve is definitely not part of the 30K mile service. They aren't a part of any scheduled maintenance, they're a "if it breaks, fix it" item, unless the car is old and you just want to do it for good measure or something.
They don't fail anywhere remotely close to that fast. I mean they're cheap, but still.

Yoda tech here. I have yet to find a bad PCV on a 2GR or 2AR anything. 2AZ, 1MZ, 3MZ, etc, yes. Please post if you've found a bad one. I'd bet oil changes were skipped... lots of them.
