Lower OEM front seat
Hello there- Recently acquired a 350 and although I am only 5'9" it bothers me every morning that my head touches the roof. Also my sight line out to the road is too high. Not sure why I did not notice that when test driving the various IS.. Seat is all down. Is it true that the F has lower seats? I test drove one but can't remember. From reading all the posts in here F seats are 6k so it would make more sense to trade the car if I wanted to go that route. What about removing the ventilated part/duct of the seat? Could it be lowered more then?
Maybe cut the oem seat bracket and weld it together differently? Also sent an email to my friend in Japan to have him check the forums there if there is anything in Japan about that topic.
I guess last option would be Recaro, Bride or similar losing all electric helpers..
Coming from a S4 I am starting to feel claustrophobic. I love the IS for it's reliability and quality production standards, fit and finish but this is getting to me.

I am 5'11" and I keep my hair shorter to avoid the roof. I also keep the seat slightly angled back to help.
Given the wind noise I get from the moon roof, I would rather have a normal roof with the few extra inches of headroom.
It took me a while to get used to the limited cabin space (mostly cause I am fat), but it was not too bad to get used to.

I must have short legs and a longer upper torso maybe. Getting used to means it's not the right fit for me. Actually I am getting headaches because I cramp my neck to get a lower vision line out the window. Look slike e*ay has seat brackets for Recaros. Just need to find out how that would work with the airbags etc.

I'm 5'9 and don't have that problem. Are sure the seat is lowered? The back of the seat angles down as well as the front. And then you can also adjust the seat to lean further back. I just recently raised my seat and you still have headroom. It's not a lot but your neck shouldn't be cramped.

You really must have your seat angled straight up at almost 90 degrees. I have mine tilted wayy back, not even remotely close to having any problem hitting the roof.
However, I do agree that it would be nicer to have the seat lower, I would prefer it (not because of the room problem though). I just love to sit lower in the car.

Just checked again and put it up high and then back down. Still the same.
Anyone on the forums here that has Recaro seats installed? Wondering what their experience is. The Recaro Style seat has ventilation, heat and electric adjustments so it sounds like a good option but it would be interesting to talk to someone who has actually done that kind of install.

I'm 6,3 and I had that same problem (you could imagine how much worse it was for me). Lower the seat AND lower the bottom. Then angle the back of the seat a little. This way I have about an inch room between my head and the roof.
