Mating a GS350 F-Sport Front Bumper to the 2IS (Step by Step)
Updated 2/8/13
Front camera will be installed late next week. Pics/video to come of that.
Update on 2/7/13
This process began on 1/16/13. Thread was created early morning on 1/17/13
Below is the progress we've made by EOD 1/17/13
NOW BACK TO WHAT I WROTE WHEN I MADE THIS THREAD
First off, credit goes to HKS350 aka Jeremy and the fellas over at Auto Arts Inc Custom Ride Studio located in NC for this idea/concept. And a huge thanks to Phanly Auto Body in West Palm Beach, FL for being crazy enough to implement the ideas I have for this bumper.
Secondly, I WOULD have rather done a 3IS bumper... However, I already bought this bumper back in late 2012 before there was ever a pic up of the new 3IS Regardless I wanted to make this thread to aid in anyone else thinking of tackling this job, I am willing to answer questions for you... Should any arise.
Lastly, please pardon the stock wheels. I had high intentions of parting the car out and selling her, however.... With the recent announcement of the 2-door IS coming soon... I decided to wait to see what that version looks like and in the meantime wrap up on the plans I had for this car.
My build thread, with what mods this car has, can be seen HERE for those that are bored.
PLANS:
-Add 4 sonar detectors since I will be lowering the car more.
-No fog lights. I don't like them nor use mine currently.
-Mold the tow hook cover so it looks like it was never there.
-Stitch the emblem holder. So that it looks like it was never there. Those that know me know that I do not like any of my cars to have emblems on them. Sad part is I had to purchase TWO front grilles in order to pull this off

Good luck with this, mating two pieces of plastic like this together will only cause you headaches down the road. This is the type of project you do on a honda, not a lexus but hey good luck!
