In every other case it was an idiot owner installing the wrong floor mat incorrectly, fault entirely with owner, and I'm unaware of anyone successfully winning a lawsuit over it vs. Toyota/Lexus.
I guess if they wanna do a "make sure owner isn't an idiot check" and charge for doing so I can't feel too bad about an idiot tax... but it doesn't make it any less laughable they need to offer to do so.
Even conventional oil has proved to be good to 10k mile changes on the 2IS via UOA... let alone the 5k Lexus suggests for most 2ISes.

Any non-synthetic oil change above $80 from a Lexus dealer is pushing it. My last one was $72 with a convenient Lexus loaner.

Yes. I drove the LFA.

Not debating the merits of a 20k service vs. oil change... but you guys have to realize that different areas have different rates. A 50 dollar oil change in one place may be low compared to the san fransisco bay area or la area. So you cant say "the most i have ever paid is 50! you got ripped off!"... when 50 is the going rate in your area, it may not be the going rate in other areas. Gotta compare apples to apples.

Lexus of Englewood....
If you're going to the dealer you're probably following the recommended oil change schedule, in which case synthetic would largely be a waste of money.

I dont do dealer oil changes but i do it every 4000-5000 with syntehtic oil. I jsut got this car few months ago so my first oil change was synthetic. You guys think its better to use regular oil and just use mobile1?

Longer oil change intervals is one of the major things that makes syntheitc "worth it"
The only thing you're getting for your extra $ spent on synthetic if changing as often as you are is:
slightly better cold flow characteristics- which won't be of much value apart from the coldest couple months of winter in the mornings
better catastrophic oil failure protection- not relevant at all unless you forget to put the drain plug back in or something
So with normal driving if you change every 4-5k I'd say use regular decent quality oil, and maybe do one Mobil 1 fill for the winter months if you really want.
Now, if you do abuse the hell out of the oil (that is, you take primarily only short trips where the engine never gets to spend much time at operating temp and/or you do a lot of excessive idling, or you drive primarily on a race track) then I'd say to change it every 3 mo/3k miles with the cheapest oil you can find.
No point in running any sort of high end synthetic unless you're looking to run 12,000 or more miles between changes (and you'll probably be looking at a filter change along the way)

gasket: $1-washer/gasket
MOC service kit: $14-sounds extra

The item that is fishy is the service kit, maybe that's brake cleaner and washer fluid, that I usually see charged out for services. That's before taxes too I assume?
