P.S. It is okay to be **** and take care of your car (LOL). This issue would bother most people.
Haha... thanks for understanding. Every inch of my car I keep a tight ship on. It's a challenge I enjoy.

I feel your frustration, I fear looking at my car closely when I wash it. I always notice another chip, scratch, etc. I guess it's just a car (LOL).

I know plenty about cars. However, I am still learning about the odds and ends of the IS. Or the little things if you will. Thank you for your colorful contribution.

My bad, just a little grumpy with the lack of car entusiasts on this site, and the abundance of ego enthusiasts playing car.
Seriously, you don't know what a muffler is???
But, it wasn't that long ago that I didn't even know how to change a flat tire, to date I've torn down a couple of cars to a bare chassis and rebuilt them incl paint, suspension, bulit my own exhaust, re-built several motors....
We all have to start somewhere, just keep at it

It's all good. I should know where a muffler is by this point. Is it the bladder the tips are connected to or the bladder under the center of the car? I always thought it was closer to the engine. Or at least it was back in the day I had GM 350 engines.

The thing that looks like a "bladder" towards the center of the car is the catalitic(sp?) converter IIRC

But back to the topic, my mom's ES350 suffers from this to, I read on here somewhere that its just condensation from the inner workings of the exaust that happen to be a rusty orange.
