Problem with fuel recall
hey guys,
so i finally - around 3 weeks ago - got round to doing my fuel recall that lexus sent out to me at the Grapevine Park Place location in Grapevine Tx. Anyways so it was all done normally - I assumed. After I got the car back I drove it when the oil was cold and got this horrible jerking when I drove, literally shaking the car back and foward whenever I accellerated. So anyways I took it back to Park Place Grapevine and I told them what was wrong.
The car has been in the dealership for over 2 weeks now and they can't find out whats wrong. Apparently the fuel pump was leaking but then they sealed it up and its still jerking. Also my service agent said he spoke to Lexus corporate and they have checked their work but they still can't fix it.
Anyone have the same problem?
Do I have a right to be extremely upset or is it one of those unavoidable things? It seems to me that the technicial obviously messed things up and I dont want a messed up engine - if worst comes to worst they can and should replace my engine... right??
Opinions guys....

hey guys
yeah they did give me a loaner but I am only 20 and they said you have to be 21 to drive it or something.. but I'm still driving it.
its not a matter of having a car. its the fact that they screwed up and cant fix it. i jus want my car. .yanno?
and this is the same dealership that lied to me and my parents because we wanted our car around my b-day and they forced us to pay a deposit in order for us to have it by october 25th, and i was forced to not get any options because "if they custom ordered it, it would take 16 weeks instead of 6"
well the car came in december. after ALOT of lies by the dealership.
and now this?
its kinda bs but theres not much I can do at this point
my car is 2 yrs and a few months old around 30K miles.
If worst comes to worst i want a new engine (they did that on my cousins Celica which had engine probs after 3 yrs) but I dont wanna deal w/ that hassel, id rather they just fix it!
what you guys think??

Well, it's not a lemon and they aren't going to replace it (or the engine)! But they do need to fix it (sounds like a fuel or ignition problem). I'd give Lexus Customer Care a call and ask them if they can "assist the dealer with the diagnosis and repairs" as this is taking way too long!

ok guys so i called them and they found out what was wrong with it.
apparently as part of the fuel recall they are supposed to change the injectors.
well according to my service rep "lexus corporate sent us the wrong ones and we installed the IS 250 injectors on your IS 350"
what a bunch of absolute idiots!!!
There shouldnt be any damage.... right??
