Brake piston popped out..
I am an idiot.
While installing extended studs in the rear, I had the passenger side brake caliper, pads and rotor removed before I realized I needed to get both wheels off the ground and place the car in nuetral. When I hit the brake to start the car and drop it in nuetral, one of the pistons tore through the boot and popped out, spilling brake fluid everywhere.
Piston is not damaged at all, but the seal tore badly. I managed to remove the caliper and get the piston back in place. I ordered a new seal kit and I will flush and bleed the brakes once my parts are in.
Did I permanently ruin the caliper? I read that the ISF brembo pistons should never be removed..

No, you are not an idiot, just a simple oversight… and learning the hard way can, at times, be the best way.
As long as the piston is damage free, just replace the inner seal and outer dust boot/seal, and you should be good to go. Centric may have pistons for these.

It happens, I believe some of my friends removed their pistons and rebuilt their brembos when they got their calipers painted.
