Default Anyone seen this (strange backup cam line)

This only happens sometimes but I have no idea what this is. Looks like its from glare from the sun in some way. Anyone seen this and figured out how to fix? It is always a straight line right there. The screen is otherwise perfectly fine and it only happens sometimes like I said.

Happen to me when the sun is inline in the back. Just like yours. I think you must park often at the same time and place and you hit the lens with the sun 😉

I get it every so often and never figured out why but it always has gone away on next back up.

Neo. Is that you?

I'd go with awkward glare from sun.

Glare from the for sure. Nothing to worry about. With the way the backup camera is positioned, it's going to be recurring for sure when there is sun out.

I'd say lens flare from the sun bouncing off the bumper

It's a sign you're about to run over a tiny Jedi with a really big light saber. Proceed with caution!!

Yeah, it's probably nothing to worry about if it's only seen on the back-up camera in bright sunlight. If it were any problem at all, I'd say it was something with the little camera lens itself, rather than the NAV unit, but I doubt it's something to be concerned about.

next time you see it, put your car in park. put your hat on the bumper below your license plate and then put it in reverse again. it'll be gone.

it's light reflecting off of the bumper
