where do we fit in ???
So i came from a g35 coupe, and when going to car meets and things like cars and coffee i used to fall in with the tuners and other g35's .
Now, its like i pull up .. and i'm normally parked beside a maserati or something exotic.. or in the trenches with the bmw's .. and sometimes the subaru gang ??
at this point im trying to figure out where do i fit in ? or is the F the car that belongs to No group and it stands on its own ?
we don't quite fit in with the tuners being a V8 and all .. but the F is hella more elegant that any american muscle... Its not german or italian either but they seem to be the ones i end up beside the most.
so im curious .. where do you guys park at when you head to meets ???
Given that the IS F is a very specific breed of car and the lack of them around the roads (outside of So Cal from what it seems), it will stand out on its own. Those who want to get to know the car will take a genuine interest as a car enthusiasts. Those who wish to discredit its merits as "just a Toyota" or its "fake exhaust tips" will generally be the ones ruining events for everyone else by running their rides into the sidewalks and spectator areas. Then again, that says more about certain groups and drivers than the overall car enthusiast group at large.
We only started doing a C&C event here about 18 months ago, which was originally mostly populated by Porsches and Ferraris (our local exotic shop owner started the whole thing) but it has grown to include pretty much everything. The ISF fits nicely in the middle.

(XX) "It is the most interesting" car in the world...it stands alone! Therefore we fit in everywhere. I find ppl do ask about "what" it is. It's a great conversation piece. It almost opens that door all by itself for ppl to inquire. Hell its got a snow button and a furtive pedal dance if that's not versatility idk what is. LoL
Thats why I love my F. "F"its in everywhere.

In all honesty, I wouldn't care so much about who you park next to. Bring a folding chair, bring your breakfast, enjoy the show and have a good time.
I moved to NC and I am rolling with another member here, so there are 2 of us. Already met another owner and an owner of an RCF. Try to Network with people in your area through this board and see if you can find some to go with you.
