2008 isf and iphone 5 compatibility - music
My isf has a iphone 4 jack but when an adaptor is put on it and connected to my iphone 5 it won't connect.
I have a aux jack and Bluetooth connection via aux jack but it's a bit fiddly.
Is there no way to make the iphone 5 work through the car property?

I find that ipad jack to function in an odd manner.. it's like my menu just doesn't control my ipod correctly so I stopped using it (my IS350 behaved the same way too). I just run an RCA mini cable out of my center console and plug it into my phones headphone jack. Works like a charm!

The Grom Audio hooks up as a secondary cd changer - sound is good, but the bluetooth connectivity is iffy - not sure if it's because of Android, but since I have to connect to the car bluetooth and GROM at the same time (one to manage phone and other for media audio), sometimes, one of the two won't connect.
kind of annoying at times but connecting manually works everytime.
one of the main reasons I need to upgrade to 2011+ IS-F or RS5 haha

I heard vaistech was working on a wireless Bluetooth/airplay sync device for iPhone. They were finishing development in February. Don't know if that's the one he's talking about above. I haven't checked in a couple months though.

I use the black berry Bluetooth gateway. Picked one up on eBay for like 50 and it works great. Also spend another 10 or so and buy a ground loop isolator. Removed any interference (whine, etc).

I've been using vias with the lightning adapter, if you have it connected when you start the car it's fine but if you pull it out all the steering stuff stops working when you plug it in again until you turn it off and on again.
