i am new to lexus and IS... but .. i have saved and in the middle of purchasing my first 2016 IS 300 (F)
quick q... what does the Sport button do? is it really that much more power?
i have test drove it and i noticed that when i am in sports mode and i am going 55-60 and quickly brake the car jerks a little.. the RMS jump up is that normal?
thanks for any help

On an IS300 F Sport, going in to Sport mode will make the throttle more sensitive, the steering heavier, and the transmission shifting more aggressive. Sport mode will, in general, make the car feel more responsive, but it will not give you more power.
What you were experiencing when you felt the jerk while braking is that more aggressive shift pattern. The car sees you slowing down and it's downshifting so it can use the engine for braking and be ready to accelerate quickly again when you're ready.

Yes, that is normal. The car thinks that you are about to take a corner when under heavy braking, and it assumes that you want to be in a lower gear to power out of the corner.
