Default Clear bra on rocker panels

What do y'all think about the necessity of rocker panel protection? I'm thinking about having Xpel installed on the rocker panels and behind the rear wheels.

Has anybody noticed chips in the rocker panel area?

I just washed mine today and noticed a little something behind the rear wheels (passenger side) and some tiny scratches from the rocks + sands. Glad you brought this up. We got hit pretty bad with sand on the roads after that freezing rain mess on Sunday. I am thinking of doing the same thing having noticed little damage already on a 4-weeks old car!

It is highly recommended to have the rocker panels of 3IS with clear bra. These rocker panels do get stone chips if stay unprotected. It comes from the experience with the rocker panels of 2IS which has a less aggressive styling and less surface area than the ones for 3IS.

I waited for a few months before getting the rocker panels of previous 2IS covered and there were already a few stone chips before the clear bra installation.

So this time around, I have rocker panels of 3IS with clear bra from Day 1. I have Xpel Ultimate film (pre-cut kit from Proform Design) on my 3IS and they are quite seamless.
