Default Clear Bra Removal/Clear Coat Question?

When I purchased my 2014 I350 F Sport the vehicle came equipped with a side clear bra on the rear passenger side door. I never really liked it and should have removed it from day one. Eventually it starts to change colors around the edges and is just ugly. Anyhow, I used a steamer to peel off the clear bra and in the process it removed a pea size amount of clear coat off the car. I am thinking about correcting this myself by lightly wet sanding with a 3000 grit piece of sandpaper and following up with some clear coat touch-up. I figure I might have to repeat the process 3-4 times and finish with a polish. Probably Menzerna SF4500. I figure something very light to prevent the clear coat from coming off.

Has anyone else tackled this project? If so, any tips where I should purchase the clear coat from. Dealer direct? Or just any clear coat? I found some inexpensive options on amazon.

** The damage is on the right side panel not in this picture.

I included some before/after pics.
