Car lights up, but no start. Help!
Hey guys!
I walked over to my car which was starting perfectly fine this morning, and when walking to my car after class, I tried to pop the trunk and it did not open. I proceeded to try to unlock the car with the fob and no luck. I then found the door to be unlocked already. When opening the door the dome lights lit up, and the push to start button was red. When pressing on the brakes it turns green. But when I pressed the button all I got was a flashing dashboard and check vsc, but it was intermittent and would not stay lit up for long. I do not hear any cranking or any type of noise coming from the engine when pressing start. Also the Rpm and speed needle would start up and rotate then return to original position, but then would repeat the motion over and over till I turned the car back off. Any ideas of what this sounds like? Thank you so much in advance!

That is very typical of a battery that has finally gone bad. One minute is was working fine and the next.? Dead. My guess is you have a new battery installed and all will be well again.

I ended up jumping and charging the battery and all was well. Got it tested and it was fine too, but it's been about 2 almost 3 years so about time to get a new one anyways so I'll get to that this weekend. Thanks for the help!
