2011 is250.......a few questions/issues
Hey everyone,
I just picked up my first Lexus, a one owner 45k mile 2011 is250 rwd. I love the car, just have a few questions.
First, the engine has alot of valve train noise when off throttle coming to a stop and also lower rpm range. You can't hear it when revving in idle or higher rpms, and it seems to subside when at a stop and idleing. Is this normal? The lexus dealer said these cars do hava a bit of valve train noise. It kind of sounds like a diesel.
Second, when in backing up and with the wheel at full lock in either direction, there is an audible noise/grinding from the front suspension as if there is some sort of binding going on. Is this because of the somewhat aggressive alignment or is there an issue with some front suspension component?
Third, I have a rattle from the steering column area, im aware of the TSB on the earlier cars. Does this also apply to my 2011? Has anyone had the same issue?
I would greatly appreciate any input on these issues.
Thanks in advance.

thanks, i figured the engine noise and noise when at full lock were normal. I come from a lexus family, I'm just not used to those noises on a lexus though.
