BlueTrip Aux Anyone?
Has anyone used this device? I am purely interesting in it for streaming music from my galaxy nexus and have no intention of using the hands free phone feature (especially because this will be in the arm console) Unfortunately on the nexus I do not have a line out option so when going from my AUX to my phone it thinks I have headphones plugged in and the sound is pretty bad. I am wondering if I can get around this problem by using this device and streaming music via Bluetooth? Am I thinking about this correctly? Will this bypass my line out problem?

It says you have to press the button on the blutrip to answer a call. So if you have the hands free in the car you should be able able to just answer it on the steering wheel and the blutrip wont answer it, but the car will. If you are wanting to answer the phone while the aux is plugged in then you may be able to find an app that can make the phone function as line out only (or find someone to build an app for that) or since you have to physically grab your phone anyway just unplug it.

So here's a quick review of the product. It's a decent alternative for those of us who do not have factory equipped bluetooth.
I have mine placed in the center console so the Aux cable is within connecting distance to the Bluetrip. The connection is made almost immediately after the car turns on. I'm using it the unit primarily to stream music from my iPhone.
The Pros:
Quick connection
Small and hidden away within the center console
Decent streaming quality (I don't hear a hissing noise or any feedback)
The Cons:
For our purposes with our car, we are not able to use the built in microphone and the aux in connection to be able to do a hands free connection. The microphone is built into the unit and since the BlueTrip is placed into our center console and closed away, the person on the other line will not be able to hear you.
Nevertheless, I think that this is a novel situation as I am usually in my car streaming Spotify most of the time and I can just pick up the phone whenever a call comes in. I personally would recommend the product.

That one looks like it functions the same way as the BlueTrip. The only difference is that it actually has the microphone "button". It seems like it could work well, the only thing that concerns me is where to wire the microphone to.
