Hi, for those with the 2011+ fog lights and put on fog lights overlay, how do you do it? Do you remove the black plastic surround to gain access to the entire lens?

I bought the precut aerotect film, but i had trouble getting the wrinkles out of the edge since i couldn't reach the edge of the film that is now behind the black plastic surround. I have to order another set, and i figure if i were to try again, i might either have to cut the 'precut' film smaller so it doesn't get behind the plastic surround, or have to take off that surround to gain access.

anyone had the same trouble when you did yours? thanks in advance for any tips. if not, i might have to pay a professional to do it.
