Can fog lights be polished?
Like most, mine have been “sandblasted” from the years of driving. But since I’ve got clear and shiny headlights I’d like my gigs to be likewise. Anyone ever polish their fogs to remove the pitting etc so they look like new?

The fogs you see is a plastic films factory glued to a glass lens.
When I took them off (and wiped off the sticky glue) my fog lenses were crystal clear glass
So I went ahead, and ordered a set of two brand new protective films for GSII fog lights.

They are already cut to shape / size. With self-adhesive backing to be applied.
Now my fog lights look brand new 6 months after that.

Wait. I know they’re glass.
But are you saying there’s a plastic film covering that I can remove? That’s what’s “foggy”? Ok. I got an extra one to test with. I’ll give it a try.

Curious about this.. mine look old and beat up. Didn't even think about there being a way to bring them back to life. So you can wipe/scrub them clean and just put this lens cover on to make it look new?

Do you have the fog lights off the car? You have to have them out first.
Start from the rounded edges and move toward the front surface of the lens.
I removed both of mine and then, after cleaning the super sticky glue from the lens, I applied new protective films.

The trick I used is heat. It softens the glue and film.
Use something to heat the lens — really hot water, a hair dryer, or so on.
I used hot tap water in my kitchen sink.

Sorry, I did it 7 months ago and threw away the old "original" protective films.
There is chance that someone has already removed your films, and because they have been exposed to harsh road conditions for too long, they are now sandblasted.
In this case, there is a way to polish the glass, but it looks like it is really hard work.
May not worth the price of new fog lights $ 250 / set.

For the price of a new set of glass fog lights I do not know why you would want to take all that time and cost of supplies trying to restore a used beat up set?

You can also find new dark tinted glass fogs for around $40 shipped if you want to change the style up:
