Default what to get?? IS awd or GS awd?? *help*

hey clublexus members,

so i have a dilemma in which i need some advice from everyone on the forum. There are 2 cars that my father is looking at and can't decide if its worth the price difference.

Car 1 : 2006 IS 250 AWD w/ premium package (moonroof,heated/ac seats)
- $27,800 all in with about 6 months warranty left over. Car has no accidents what so ever and has a clean title. Mileage = 40,000km (canadian car)

or option 2

Car 2 : 2006 GS 300 AWD w/ ultra premium package (navi, backup camera etc)
- $38,000 all in with no warranty but is lexus certified cause i'm getting it from a lexus dealership. 1 owner, with all paper work and no accidents. Car is in immaculate condition Mileage = 30,000 km (canadian car)

what do you guys think i should suggest my father get? We currently have a LS430 and a ES300 so we are very familiar with the reliability of the cars so the warranty issue isnt so important.. but is it worth 10 grand difference?

any HELP will do!

thanks

Jimmy

how this, is your dad fat? does he have alot of fat friends? then the GS. If hes not 'big' then the IS isnt so bad. *this isnt ment to be a joke*

id have to agree. Id get an used IS350 since you can afford a used GS. If no budget the F sounds pleasing as well.

How important is the size difference in your vehicle selection criteria? If your dad needs a larger car, the choice is obvious. If size doesn't matter (ha!), then you save $10K.

The GS might also be a more satisfying drive based on it's higher HP and torque.

we really get swindled in Canada with these hiked up prices.
2006 GS300 for $38,000.
have you considered buying in the U.S...GS300s are going from $17,000 upwards.....$38000 will get you a LS460 in the U.S...I hate Canada
But if you dont want the hassle of importing, I biaslly (if thats a word) recommend the GS

Since you already have a ES and a LS, I would go with the smaller sportier IS. But if I were you, since you already have 2 sedans, I would go for the RX SUV.
