Well I decided to install my DVD player but I got stuck on tapping the electricity to the cigar lighter.
Here is the picture of the back of the cigarette lighter. What am I suppose to do to power my DVD player?
How do I connect this to the cigarette lighter?

You can go out and purchase wire t-taps (http://www.tessco.com/products/displ...94&eventPage=1) like these and just tap into the wires and you'll be on your way. places like radio shack and home depot have it
or just strip a little bit of the wire and connect them that way.

So the black one I don't connect it with the rest? I ground it to the frame of car or what?
The question is, do I tap into the wire or what? Or just tap into the metal part?
If this work I saved myself $150 for labor.
Edit: I have dyson btw.

get a voltmeter and measure out the wires right behind the cigarette lighter to confirm that it is 12v. If you are reading 12v on the meter and not -12v, then spice the black wire from your DVD with the black wire behind the cig lighter and the red wire from your DVD to the red wire behind the cig lighter.
