A/C Filter Gone Wrong
Since I'm around 15k miles, I decided to change the Engine Air Filter and the Cabin A/C Filter on my own a few minutes ago...
Engine air filter = done, easy.
As far as the A/C filter, I tried following the manual. I removed the black shelf in the glove box, and then the black cover. Then, there was this hard white plastic thing blocking the A/C filter. I had the lift it to get the A/C filter element out, and it had quite a resistance to it.
Here's the problem, I prepared the new filter and had it ready to go. I had to lift that white plastic thing again, and then "SNAP!" I lifted it too high and then it snapped. So now there's no resistance at all... Does anyone know what this part is and why it was so hard to lift?
Once I got the new filter in, I pulled this plastic thing down, but I think it's going to move up and down on it's own as I'm driving...

screwedd....you have to put he AC into recirculate mode before removing the cabin filter. youre gonna have to put the old filter back in and take it in and play stupid like you dont know what's wrong with your recirculate mode and they may fix it under warranty.
