My rims are not compatable with the TPMS sensors so there is only 1 solid way that i can come up with to fix the problem which is to use the metal tie straps and have them strapped inside my rims.
the 2nd temporary option that works for me is i have my old stock rims w/ the tpms sensors in them still mounted and stacked in the front of my garage. If i drive more than 45 min or so, the light will come on to check my TPMS system. When i park in the driveway, i guess im close enough to the rims that i turn the car off and back on and it can see the rims which turns the light off. I know this is not a final solution but works until i can locate the metal straps to have them permanetly mounted in my Volks.
