Default Rims put on but no TPMS error message?

I just threw on a set of wheels on my GS and was surprised to see there was not any TPMS error messages. Is this normal?

After an extensive time or distance the warning message will appear. Test it out..

Did you use the same sensors? If so, you probably won't get a message as the sensors are registered.

Also if your rims w/ TPMS are close to the car in the garage and you dont do a lot of driving it will reset when you pull in your garage and also when you leave every day. I worked close to my house so I never had the system trip because of this.

correct answer. ive never had my light come on nor did i park anywhere near my stock tires when i had aftermarket rims. as long as you stay under 50 miles before turning the car off, you wont get the light.

Update: mine came on exactly 70 miles after I left the house. So the next question... how do I get the light to turn off?

You can't get the light to turn off unless you put back your TPMS sensors and reset it.

I haven't had the need to do it but look through these threads.
