Question Help. Cabin Air Filter Change.

It's ridiculous that we have to change the cabin air filter at 10k miles. For you that have done it yourself, can you share how its done? (I've changed plenty of engine filters, but never a cabin filter)

What is the part number, btw? And where is the cheapest place to buy it?

I've heard that it's an easy job, but I just dont want to mess anything up. Pictures would be great.

Thank you guys!

You should check out the vendor marketplace. I believe Carson Toyota is selling Blitz cabin filters.

You'll find the standard Lexus part works as well as the comparable aftermarket.

Keep record of the replacement part number, as the next one may be available at a Toyota dealer for less cost.

It is an idea to remove, inspect and vacuum the cabin filter every three or four months, along with the engine air filter.

Is the part number 87139-48020-83? If not what is it? I typed that in yahoo search and it kept coming up with results saying that it's for the Highlanders, is300, etc. but no is350.

Sorry guys but what tha heck is a cabin filter???
I'm about to hit 10K miles and thought to take it to a toyota
dealer for the oil change but wondered if anything other than the
oil change is needed. sorry for the silly question

Thanks in advance,

The cabin filter is for the air conditioning and heat functions. It should be inspected regularly.

Refer to the instruction above ...
