Winter tires on 18" oem staggered
Greetings,
Anyone try winter tires on stock 18" staggered sizes? I was told thinner the better for snow so was thinking about running 225 both front and back. Any suggestions?
Will 17" be better in terms of traction? i doubt it since it's the width and rubber compound that makes the difference in snow.
Thanks!

Your right, the width of the tire will be the same. The advantage with a 17" winter tire is better rim protection with 45 sidewall instead of 40. I believe you need 225/45/18 in the back to fit the 8.5" rear wheels. Posted here:
