Need help. 08 IS350 stalling after valve timing recall
#17
I had exact same trouble. Dealership told me to change the fuel pump. But then after searching few forums i found some solution and told dealer. They checked again and it was a minor problem. I had more codes but i cleared them, then these came back again..
Here is the problem I had and result from Dealer.

I contacted Lexus Corp and am suppose to hear back tomorrow on their solution. I am still looking for an answer from you folks if anyone knows as to the proximity of the pump in relation to the work done on the VVT recall. If the pump is unplugged, removed or is in any way manipulated during the recall work. Gville, the pic's you posted help a lot but I can not exactly tell where on the engine the pump is (front, rear, L, R) without the car. Please keep it coming all and thanks! Tons of help here.

Ok great news to report. Lexus Corporate called, said yes they believe the part failed prematurely. They cover all parts, we cover labor. This makes me really appriciate the Lexus brand! A huge thanks to those on this site for insight and help.
