Tail light warning stays on, even though all lights are working. Help please
I have a few questions,
1. Does the warning activate if the bulb is about to go out?
2. If the answer to 1 is no, then what could trigger the warning to come on even though all of my rear lights are on and working correctly(at least looking at them from the outside)
3. Should I replace the bulbs anyway, just to see if that changes anything or makes the warning light stop coming on?
4. Does that warning include the lights that are on the trunk? or just the rear tail lights only?

Okay, so I thought I found the problem. My rear passenger brake light bulb had one side blown out, so I replaced both brake light bulbs with new bulbs... and the warning light still comes on when I turn on my car and press the brake pedal. I don't know what to do anymore

With my 10 years of ownership of my is300, when that light comes on, it's VERY accurate! If it comes on when you press the brakes, one of the 5 bulbs is bad. Get a brick or concrete block or something to stand on the brake so the brake lights light up (if you don't have some one to press it for you while you stand back there and look).
