Aisin FR2 Hybrid transmission.
Gotta be something to mod this drive train. thought this was an interesting read. (BTW, Aisin makes an AWD version of this setup.)

thx for posting, interesting info.
even back in mid '09 to early '10, i was thinking what could be done to mod the hybrid powertrain to provide more power. larger hybrid battery packs, make the electric motor more powerful...unfortunately, this kind of mod would require the assistance of an electrical/mechanical engineer and would be very expensive to do (?).
due to the complexity of the hybrid system, i think (imho) the only way to extract more power would have to come from the mechanical side of things (ie engine mods such as turbo, supercharger, NOS.). we know tom's has a supercharger for the GS450h, so it is possible to bolt one on (edit: i checked tom's website again, but i can't seem to find the link to it. maybe 1sicklex can link?)

are you talking about this hyper compressor kit for GS450h?

I was going to post an image of Mr Fusion, but couldn;t make the image thing work. A workable Mr. Fusion will take some time as well,
But as battery technology gets better, I wonder what more powerful batteries, (Lithium?) could do with a new chip regulating the whole thing?
Probably takes a mad scientist to do it. However there seem to be plenty of those around.
