Default CT200h without the hybrid?

Does anyone else here think that the CT200 can be good without the hybrid engine? From what I know hybrid engines typically cost more than your conventional engines and say if they added a v6 to a CT200 would you still like the car? Starting price of ct200h is as we all know around $29,000. I like the idea of a CT200 v6 maybe at $25,000 to $26,000? Or am I just plain wrong about this? Either way I can see this being a more aggressive car that can match in particular, the subaru lookalike. Sadly it was designed for hybrid from the bottom up.

I think it would be a great candidate for a turbo 4cyl or a small displacement V6. Oh yes and manual transmission also!

Maybe they can put in a current gen 4GR-FSE as an alternative of the hybrid. But 200 +/- hp will still leave people yearning for more. And gas mileage would probably drop below 30mpg.

A higher displacement V6 might make the car too front-heavy...

I'm really interested in this car but only because it gets 40+ miles per gallon and looks like a normal car. Without that MPGs I wouldn't be interested even with a lot more power and performance. Unless it can still achieve at least 30MPGs. There are just way too many better performance car options out there that get mid 20MPGs.

Hot hatches are cool but not for me. I would like to see a CT F to battle the RS3 but that is wishful thinking. I have no desire for a Lexus manual b/c historically they are not that great. At the price climbs for the CT, I start to think IS.

To me an economical hatch makes more sense.

^^ I believe youtube has a video of those two hatches going against each other...but I'm not sure if its the Fsport or the audi being the RS3...

Manual gearbox? Hmm......Seems unlikely.

Now I don't know about worldwide IS sales but I would have to guess that majority of these are still auto gearboxes and stick shift makes the minority (only base model IS in select markets and IS Diesel in Europe use it).

If the sales trend remains (where stick shift in Lexus vehicles remains downward), then you can expect that in the near future, there will be no such thing as a Lexus manual car.

Just saying.....
