Passenger seat memory?
I picked up our ("our" means my wifes) GX last Friday. I'm not an SUV guy, I'm a sports car and sports sedan guy. But I love buying vehicles, and I a huge car nut. I appreciate everything for what it is. It's a heck of a nice Luxury SUV with a lot of nice features.
One question so far. The web site specifically says the passenger seat position can be saved to the memory, but for the life of me I don't see how. Can it?

No answer to that question, so let's try another. I was dumbfounded yesterday to find there is no retained power when you turn the engine off. I have not had time yet to look at the manual. Is there a way to set it? I seriously cannot remember a car I've owned that did not have it in many years,at least to my knowledge. My wife says her GS did not either but I cannot confirm as I may have never needed it while driving that car. This will blow me away if there is no way to set it.

LEXUS MEMORY SYSTEM
This feature allows multiple drivers to personalize and recall the settings for the driver's seat (except lumbar), outside mirrors and steering wheel position. For added convenience, it also includes front passenger-seat memory functionality.
STANDARD ON: GX 460 PREMIUM, GX 460, GX 460 LUXURY
Seems odd that it would say the passenger seat has memory functionality. They must mean something besides push-button memory like the driver seat.

Well, you see what their website says per what CAWjr posted above. I thought maybe it was tied into the driver seat memory but I tried and it does not seem to be.
Thanks for the replies.

I looked through the owners manual & there is no reference to the passenger seat. My guess is someone in web design got over excited with the copy & paste from another vehicle model.

That is certainly possible. The wording was odd though in that it came across to me as part of the memory function overall as opposed to separate controls...which we did have in our GS with its Luxury Package

Nope... memory feature is for the driver's side only. True even for the LX.
However, my previous IS250 convertible had passenger side memory.
Took it to the dealer because the passenger memory unit was acting up, and the service writer and technician were dumbfounded; it was the first Lexus they had seen at the time with pass-side memory.
Honestly, I don't know why it's not standard. Wife and I trade driving duties, so it's common sense that we'd swap seat positions too...
