skid control ecu replacement
Dealer says I need a new skid control ecu. ..When he tested it it got too hot and stopped communicating. Autozone pulled code that voltage was low.
$2400!!! Anyone know if I could get one off a junk yard? If so are all 3rd gen the same ecu?
Any other thoughts? Said actuator might be bad too but can't test due to the heat.

$2400 is a bit much. PM me if you need help finding it (make sure to shoot specific model, AWD/RWD config JUST in case), as I've been able to find decent pricing (not $2400) for the ECU, as long as you self install. I'm guessing you tried fleabay and it was a no go lol.

Great, I found one for less than $300! Is this pretty easy to replace by myself or does a dealer have to do it? Anything else I need to know before I purchase?

Do you know which ECU this would be considered?
Elec Cont Unit (ECU), battery control (hybrid)
Elec Cont Unit (ECU), engine control, (behind LH headlamp assembly)
Air & Fuel Cont
Elec Cont Unit (ECU), oil pump motor control
The dealer said "skid control", kind of got the idea it was same ecu that autozone plugs into to read codes, which is under steering wheel?
