Was there any grinding or modifications required to the front caliper or spindle?
Does anyone know if the GS and IS300 use the same front brake caliper?
You cannot possibly be serious bro.
This must be the single most popular brake upgrade on the 2GS.
The IS300 caliper uses a very slightly different bolt pattern, Figs makes an adapter insert to make the Supra TT caliper bolt into a IS300 ( or at least they used to)
It is the LS400 calipers that require RCA or shaving - CAUTION, many people have ground through their LS calipers trying this.
LS brakes are also slightly smaller than supra and not as good of a choice of pads.
I really hope people aren't shaving their calipers... The LS400 calipers are also full aluminum if I recall correctly and benefit from having less unsprung mass.
Also, please read the FAQ first. This topic has been covered in numerous threads, thus, I am locking this thread so we don't have information related to this topic scattered all over the forum.
