Any Opinions?
Just sold my es300 after 223k miles, looking to replace it with a cheap second car for my brother to use from time to time. I already own a 2002 sport design, but the dealer recently took this in on trade. It has 14 pages of dealer records, replaced the lower ball joints at 60k, timing belt at 89k, calipers and rotors all around at 85k, and everything else from keys to windshield wipers. It was one owner and comes with snow tires. I planned on offering $6500. Any input? My sales guy told me about it since i was originally looking for a 2004-2006 es330 and this was below my price range. Edmunds has it at $6400 for private party resale in perfect condition. http://www.northtownauto.com/bargain...d44ca577be.htm

Let me see if I understand the question. There are three cars mentioned:
The first is an ES 330 which you no longer own.
The second is a 2002 sport design which you currently own.
The third is a car of unknown model and year which is offered by a dealer and you would like to solicit opinions on its worth.
You've provided a detailed service history, but it's hard to offer an opinion without knowing model, year and mileage.

Test driving it later today, it does have remote start, hopefully if I have all the cash with me upfront I can get it for 6500. If I do get it I plan on changing the diff fluid, tinting it, gettif it detailed, and gettin a new key made. Found out all the door lock actuators have been changed by the dealer in the past year.

Drove it and it drove well, steering seemed to be lighter then in my gs300, but maybe its just me, suspension was also softer, but its 2 years older with 20k more. The car does pull right (assuming it needs an alignment?) and does vibrate at 50 mph (wheel balance?) They said it was leaking at the rear main seal, but that was just repaired by the dealer 25k miles ago, but 4 years ago. The car, according to the records, had snow tires put on 10/22/13 at 107157, the car had them removed a few months ago, and the car only has 200 miles more then a year ago. I'm assuming the person who owned just didn't drive it, maybe had a vacation home elsewhere? The battery was also just replaced with a brand new lexus battery. I am going back on Thursday to discuss price and everything as i was in a rush to get home today. The car also had all of its keys. So we will see.

That does look like a pretty good deal.

I walked into the dealer right before they closed and put a $500 deposit on it so they can at least hold it until saturday afternoon. I just dont have time with school and other stuff to finish the deal. I will either have it or not by saturday. In the mean time, im trying to solve my own issues on my other gs
