Default 1999 Gs300 Aftermarket HID Headlights

wass up everyone, I own a 99 GS300 that has an aftermarket HID headlights kit installed by previous owner. Although they look super clean and useful at night, I want to take them off. That said what are my options if I take the kit off will I go back to stock headlights? how does that work? Or do I put on a less brighter kit, where do I go? Suggestions please.
Thanks

Usually aftermarket HID kits are a simple plug & play setup. So you should be able to return to stock bulbs after you unplug the aftermarket lights. It all depends what you want to achieve...

It looks like you have an aftermarket HID light kit in a stock head light housings. If you had some HID head light housings then the light would be on the road where you need it. Do you have any close up pics of your head lights?

If you want bulbs that are brighter than the stock 9006 but not as bright as HID's. I recommend trying a set of HIR bulbs. Many have used them with great results. Do a search for HIR bulbs to find the right #'s to buy. I'm not sure if its the 9011's or the 9012's that work best to relplace the stock 9006 bulbs.

Can I find HIR bulbs at my local auto store or do I have to order them from online?

You'll find better deals on them if you shop online.

Amazon or Ebay, I'm sure there are lots of other online sources as well.
Check out this website.

Please take that kit out of your car. The glare is HORRIBLE. I can't believe some members here say that their lights doesn't produce any glare. This proves it.

Install HIR bulbs. I did this on my car about a month ago and they are great! Much more light vs. halogen and it will be better than that horrible kit because the light will go where it suppose to. Look on amazon. I bought my bulbs there. 9012 IIRC...

Great choice. Trust me, you will love it. The bulbs do require that you do a trim down on the top tab. there are plenty of sites that will show you how much to trim off. I used a toe nail clipper.

I'm running the same bulb and love them. It gives better light than our 2004 Cadillac SRX with HID's that have dimed over the years. When I pulled the old 9006 bulbs out I just drew a rough template of what to trim off with a pencil and used wire cutters to trim and see if it fit, took 10 min. I might upgrade to HID kit in the future but am very satisfied with the halogens I have.
