Default Cleaning throttle body from the inside

Hey guys can anyone pls tell me what stuff i should use to clean the inside of my 98 gs300 throttle body? My buddy told me that break cleaner/carburator cleaner is fine? Do i just spray it inside and wipe or let it dry?? Reason why im doing this is my idle not as used to so i figured all that oil and grease build up is some how affecting my idle control arm.
Thank you all in advance for any anwsers i might get to this Post!

Carb cleaner works well. Spray and wipe. Or spray on towel and wipe.

For more info on this run a search on "cleaning throttle body" on the 2GS forum exclusively.

NOooooooooooooooo lol dont use it on contacts or sensors. its HIGHLY strong.

if ur going to use it to clean the MAF use MAF cleaner. Cleaning contacts use Electrical Contact Cleaner lol. Use the specially formulated bottles for each task.

for engine bay u can use carb but they sell engine block cleaner. if ur engine block is dirty than youre probably leaking somewhere. find out!

The best product for cleaning the Throttle Body is Throttle Body Cleaner. It should be available at all auto part stores. Get a can of MAF cleaner too while there and get your MAF done.

I have a 2002 ES 300 and my car starts but idles out after a few seconds. It is a drive-by-wire throttle body. I was wondering if anybody had any idea on how to fix this issue or am I stuck paying 913$ in parts?

I would not say usually but I guess in certain circumstances it could.

Thanx guys, did it all yesterday, the throttle body is sparkling clean. Had a dirt build up of about 1 or 2 mm right in front of the inside flap. My idle was 500 rpm over the usual ( im guessing since there was no more dirt build up there ) but today car run perfectly and the ilde is back to normal. Ill post pictures next time for everyone else doing same kind of work.
