Trunk lid falls
Has anyone noticed that their trunk lid does not stay up any more? I have a 99 GS300 and the lid fell and hit my son's head the other day. I now notice that it will not stay up. I'm sure Lexus would be impress if I told them that I need a broom stick to keep the lid opened!
I wonder if there is a quick fix for it? Maybe I can shim the springs and create more tension on the lid???
Can you say Viagra for a Lexus?

There are some instructions in this post on changing the tension rods that hold the trunk lid open.

You can adjust the tension on the spring for the trunk.
